In the late 70.s my uncle asked me if I would cut some beans for a friend of his that was ill and I said yes of course. I was to use his JD 45 with new 18.4x26 rice tires and rims to get threw the mud and things went good cutting his beans. Every now and then I would hear a sound like a 22 going off, This happened 5 times and I got to really wondering who was shooting that close to me and why? At the end of the field it was hard ground I raised the head up cut the wheel hard left and was heading to the wagon when I herd PERING! And down we went! The right rice tire and rim came off the combine. OH CRAP! Being 16 or 17 at the time I was scared to death that I just destroyed this guys combine! Come to find out the new guy that was sent out to put the new tires and rims on the combine used a 1 inch impact to tighten the lugs with and twisted them in half! First and only time in my life to almost roll a combine over, Not something you want to repeat! Bandit
