I had a day of mowing planned. But the rain changed that real fast. My JD 401 industrial never had a dust separator on the air cleaner. This was a good time for that project. The air cleaner only had a 3 inch tube coming off of the top of the air cleaner inlet. It was pulling air and dust in, right in front of the radiator screens I was getting a lot of dust in my paper element real fast. Hardest part was locating the hole in the hood to match the inlet to the air cleaner. I bought a new air filter with a 3 inch opening from ebay, and a piece of 3 inch exhaust pipe from Pep boys. everything went together real good. even lined the hole with a piece of rubber. Don't know why JD didn't add this. I guess the factory figured a industrial tractor didn't need one. Stan
