Something us old coots never had to consider when we were young (and dumb). Depending on context, there are no words I find offensive in themselves.
A recent first-time visitor on my mountain apologized profusely about one word she used to describe our driveway, which clearly impressed her. I merely asked if she really couldn't find a more descriptive adjective.
