Freedom of speech in the Constitutional sense has nothing to do with making a fool out of yourself swearing. It's all about POLITICAL speech, no more, no less. People think free speech means you can stand in your yard swearing at everyone that walks by. Not hardly, not in the Constitutional sense. That part of the 1st Amend is there to protect you when you say an R or D is an idiot. Used to be they'd imprison you for that. In fact, Woodrow Wilson imprisoned over 80K Americans for doing just that in WW1 which lead to the formation of the ACLU.
