A 706 is only about 1450.The higher pressures PROBABLY wont hurt a thing. But go with a lesser pressure relief (IMHO).Something like a 856;966....Something about 2000 .Any of the 06;56;66 series tractors will work.Keep trying,Joe should get back to you. He's a busy guy.He KNOWS his IH stuff.
Original pressure in a 706 was 1600 psi with an update to a 1800 psi valve. The 2500 psi showed up after the first 86 series tractors came out.
System pressure for 786, 886, 986, and Hydro 186: 2000 - 2350 psi.
System pressure for 1086, 1486, and 1586: 2250 - 2600 psi.
The smaller tractors came with either a 2000 psi valve or a 2300 psi valve. The larger tractors came with either a 2300 psi valve or a 2500 psi valve.
