(1st 7 vert. in neck). I had same complaint as you and also had torn rotator cuff on same arm so they did the carpo thing while I was under for other. Wasn't the problem! Within a year, both hands/arms going numb and severe exhaustion and left leg jerking. MRI at neurologist showed 3 vert. rubbing together,no disc left and bone spurs growing into my spinal cord. Set me up for emergency surgery. (3hr) Called severe spinal stenosis (google it) Nerves comming out between vert. were pinched and spurs were poking other nerves in cord. Now have spacers(fuses) and titanium plate on front holding three vert apart. Was just on verge of loosing continence (some do and never get it back after surgery). It was misdiagnosed for 1 year and I lost a lot of function permanently because of it. DON'T play around with numbness!!! They love calling it "carpo"...quick money. Get that MRI , they don't lie. If that isn't it , then go the carpo way but get the cervicle spine checked first. One lady I talked to was only 46 and because of that, let hers go too long out of denial. She's wearing a diaper for the rest of her life. I was close. (e-mail is open if you have questions)
I agree Had 3 disks removed Started with Numbness in my right first 3 fingers I ignored it for more than 2 years After the surgery I never got feeling back in my right hand I just waited to long thinking it was over work.. I also had both rotor cuffs torn still haven't got that fixed. Don't ignore numbness in your leg either I got a plate in my back to match the one in my neck. Get it check!
