The "operator" takes the first couple of drinks. Then, alcohol takes over, clouds judgment, reduces inhibitions, and recklessness takes over. No offense to Jon meant. HOWEVER... I would never suggest re-trying prohibition, but I do think that penalties for drunken behavior should be strict and strong. There is nothing funny about a D8 being turned toward a town and left to run as stated in one post. Nothing funny about losing one's loved ones to a drunk driver. Those "great" ideas that come to people while in a drunken stupor lead to unintentional suicide or injury/death to others. This just wasn't funny. Period.
Note to Jon: I do appreciate your posting of funnies. I have gotten many a laugh from them, and they usually brighten up the day. This one was simply not funny, and borders on bad taste. Sorry. Been around enough alcoholics to see that this one is tragically true to life.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
