I am using my Dad's 3020 diesel and the batteries went dead. As I was in the process of hooking the charger up I noticed that the second battery is not hooked up right. The cable from the first battery(+) is hooked up to the (+) on the second one and the (-) goes to the starter. I've never run into this and don't know what to do now. Should I charge it this way or change the terminals around so that they are the way they should be? Will the battery be OK if I change the cables around? He has not had this tractor very long, so I don't know who set it up this way. Advice please...Thanks.
