I was in HS in the late 50's.. when I was 14-15 I drove a tractor to school from time to time..just to break the monotony of peddling my bike. We had an hour lunch break and a few times per week I had to be at the farm around noon to receive feed or bedding(saw dust)..as my Dad worked off the farm from time to time. That all stopped when I became 16 and got my own car.. which my dad spent 300 bucks for. I remember dating when I was too young to drive .. driving to town on my dad's then new JD 50. I parked it in the back of the IH dealer lot at the edge of town... long time ago... many fond memories of a gentler time.
