It appears that lately some are tending towards allowing discounts off prices to regular customers. I am not talking about the 25% off the full list that no one would ever be charged but say 20% off a real price. Everyone at the local parts store knows me, but recently when I said that I would pay cash he said well give me your account anyway and I was actually surprised by the price. I don't have an account at the local Ford dealer, but when picking up a part today, he asked my information, which another counter guy doesn't bother with, and again I was surprised by the price. Maybe these guys are thinking that they need to acknowledge online sales.
