$3 to $4/ hour??? That isn't worth the gas to drive over there, you would be better off going to McDonald's and working there. I'd say at least $10/hour unless you are really hurting for cash or he has a cute daughter your trying to date. Yea, anyone can drive a tractor and mower, BUT an experienced operator that knows what he is doing and can take care of the equipment is cheaper than the repairs and downtime fixing what the inexperienced operator can tear up.
