Hi Lou, ditto to what Larry said, hope all goes well with what you share with us here, given similar interests, always good to see a post from you !
The splitter which you have shown us before is certainly a job well done. It stands out to me in particular as the design is like a Speeco or TSC's Huskee, built by Speeco. I really like how these are set up for this class of work, homeowner with seasonal and maybe some additional work as well. I have a 28 ton Huskee, if I was to build one, it would be very similar, probably add a log lift for both that purpose and doubling a work table as well. GX Honda motor, 16 GPM pump, reservoir, cylinder and plumbing to match, same principle of design, but with items of preference as I am sure you have done with yours. Not only is it enjoyable to design/build and use, at the cost you mention it is a savings given what they go for in the same class. Even if it was brake even, you still built it, its how you like it, even painted the color you want LOL ! You ought to inscribe your brand or logo/artwork or something on the beam !!! Like it, well done Lou !

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
