There are no O'reilly stores within shopping distance of me, so I have never been in one or seen one. I would not even know that they exist if not for this forum..... BUT......I have an Auto Zone within 2 city blocks of me and an Advance across the street from them. Most of them will unlock the door for you even a minute or 2 after closing time. I never did a lot of business with NAPA simply because of their very limited hours. Until the last year or 2, they closed at 5:00 sharp every weeknight, noon on Saturday, and were closed on Sunday. Not at all convenient for repair projects on weekends or after store/working hours during the week. The unfortunate part about most of these stores is that they will hire anybody with a warm body that can look up a part on a computer with help from the customer. A good number of them would not know the part they just looked up if it was laying on the counter in front of them. Not meaning to insult them, just a lack of experience and a total unfamiliarity with cars. The good old stores with REAL expert counter help are becoming a thing of the past. Sad to see it happening.

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
