Pat don't know where you got the seat but that sure is an improvement. Check the deck gear box oil and we have go to adding a product made by Lucas. The lower seal in the deck goes out and oil the greas/oil goes out you never know it and scorch a gear box. That is about all that goes wrong with the older 50 series is deck gear box. One other thing I find common on the older units folks fail to clean the radiator. Dow in the corners will be a buildup of grass and seed ect. Water is not your friend but blow ,blow and blow and sometime a flat price of strapping material may have to be eased thru the openings to get that radiator good and clean. We still have a lot of the B 50 series running and yes bi speed turn was a good option that faded away. Just added too much cost to the little tractor for todays market.
