Little bit of a issue I am not sure how to solve. I am replacing all the fluids in the swather before I do any serious running of the engine. The unit has a four cylinder engine believed to be a Chevy. Manual only lists the Chrysler slant six so no help there. I want to replace the spin on oil filter but a lot of corrosive goo has eaten any numbers off the filter. How do I match up a filter to this engine? I am thinking there would be a serial number/model number on the engine somewhere that I could take to NAPA or such and maybe get a match? If so, where might such a number be? Likely have to scrub the whole engine to find it if it exists. So I am rambling here...any tips for matching an oil filter to an unknown engine?
