Bryce, one thing I learned thru the years is that sometimes you have to sell some toys to buy another one. It's better to sell one asset to buy another one as investors say. Letting go is the hard part but sometimes it can be a relief and benefit in the long run. I can tell you're already thinking something newer so you're on the right track so my suggestion is to sell off some of your other tractors and buy a nicer tractor ready to go cut hay and bale it. There may be larger cost up front but it can make you money and you won't have to invest more money to get it ready for the field. One other thing to keep in mind is. Where do you want to be 5 or 10 years from now? Just my two cents worth.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
