I've pulled a lot of 8 - 10 ton loads of hay to auctions behind a SRW chevy 4x4 1 ton in the past, biggest thing is paying attention to others, good brakes on trailer is a must. also my brother used the same rig to move his john deere 720 (9500 lbs) and john deere 4320 (14000 lbs) took them to a tractor pull. got a picture of him with the load..... currently I have a SRW 4x4 F-350 biggest thing is good tires and brakes on truck and trailer... and register the truck in excess for tonnage, learned that lesson years ago from DOT No ticket, Just pulled over with 10 ton load hay, spent an hour trying to find something to ticket me with, the kicker was it was a sunday afternoon....
