I think the very first air planter AC came out with was in the very late 1960's. Case gave up many products during the 1970's due to being owned by Tenneco. Tenneco was only really interested in the industrial division but ag tractors made the Racine factory more efficient and therefore profitable. A lot of the Case dealers were supplementing and often prioritizing short line products so it made for an easy decision to close factories that Tenneco deemed unprofitable. ACG can chime in to see if there is a story about Case not known to the general public. Ford was getting the White 5100 planter about the same time White was supplying its plow lineup.
