FWIW, I'll put my 1/2 cent in.
Two days ago, I trammed(drove) my 1953 Jubilee w/ Wagner FEL and Sherman backhoe, 15 miles to dig a trench. I never shut her down. Even when I took a break, I just idled her down and let her run. Then I trammed her back home 15 miles.
While at the job site, they asked me why I didn't shut her down... I thought my answer was reasonable....'I had just replaced the Radiator, fan belt, cleaned and flushed the gas tank, replaced sediment bowl, flushed engine coolant and soaked in vinegar then rinsed and installed new VDO Temperature gauge'.
I ran her pretty hard for 6 to 7 hours @1500rpm. I wanted to see how the replacement parts performed. Temps stayed in the 160-165 degree range and I was happy.
Now I just got to put the tin back on.
