I suppose pretty much anything can be done, just a matter of how much custom fabrication you do. You just need to get the rotary output of the engine to the input of the tractor transmission and make sure the RPM isn't way out of whack, figure out the governor, controls and wiring. The theory isn't terribly complicated, but the devil is in the details.
If money were no object, a turbine would be outstanding, they would probably be fairly ideal for a tractor from the stand point of setting the throttle at a steady RPM where you are making good power and off you go, however, you won't necessarily have a lot of start up torque, which could be problematic (powershift trans needed?)
A rotary engine would be unique. A radial engine really neat. You could probably re-power a smaller tractor with a Harley engine, a 100 HP liquid cooled VRSC engine would make for a neat parade tractor.
