T-9/TD-9 Whats the difference

Just bought a T-9 and also a TD-9. I noticed on the T-9
the batteries go under the operators seat. On the TD-9
there is no room under the operators seat for the batteries.
Is there an actual difference in the running gear between the two?
Is the TD-9 built tougher? Is the running gear interchangable? Tom
