In 1971 I had a chance to go to the Oil fields and work my way up from Rough Neck. I did not go. I made a right turn and headed to the office of a Major Natural Gas Company. I retired in 2011.The 39 years 8 months.. In 1971 a gentleman explained that it would serve me well to take every course the Corporation offered and never forget how to work like the farming back ground I was born into.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
