It is gravity feed only. Sounds like the filter is getting clogged. If it takes a long time to get fuel out of the filter bleed screw, something is clogged in the filter or lines. I just went through this with a similar machine this spring. There was something (alge?) on the bottom of the tank which was clogging the filter. Had to flush and clean everything and, of course, change the filter. Been running fine since.
