It is kind of confusing that's why I wanted to ask. So the left most pin position on the fixed end of the connecting rod seems to tip the packer forks furthest to the right and should allow more hay to be pulled in to the chamber. The feed forks look like they will be further to the left in their cycle before the packer fork swings through. Maximizing the amount of Hay it can pull through.
The packer fork end of the connecting rod also has three positions. Using the top pin location seems to cause the packer forks to point furthest to the left when cycling through the bale chamber. Both of these seem like the most likely combination to maximize feed to the left.
