Bryce - here is the model we bought this Summer. About $250 on sale at Wally World for the package. It does a fine job, got some good reviews, but mostly I felt it was a good bang for the buck and we can work with it's short comings per below.
However, if I were spending a little more $$$'s, I would have got a Sony (forget the model) but it has a small projector on the back side of the flip out screen so you can watch your movies and it can take about a 8 megapixel still pic while you are filming. Also I think the Sony has wifi or blue tooth so you can wirelessly upload your videos to your tablet, phone, etc.
We take our vids in the highest quality - which eats memory, but they are family vids - so we want the best quality long term.
Upload one or more videos to your post. Photo filesizes should be less than 300K and Videos, less than 2MB. Formats allowed are gif, jpg, png, ogg, mp4, mov, and avi. Be sure to use filenames without spaces or special characters, and filetypes of 3 digits lower case.
