Unless his ground is pretty flat you need to get him to sell that offset "A" ASAP!!!! even with weights they can upset real easy if you have the engine side down hill, Then you add in the fact that the steering wheel is kind of in your lap making getting on and off cumbersome. These tractors where made primarily to cultivate with. They had other attachments but they where designed around cultivating.
The weights will just make him more "brave" Get him a center line tractors for general field work.
