Not always. In this case, they were willing to hire a driver to shop 30 miles away (in a bigger town), then deal with the city council in the town 15 miles away from most of them. They don't always deal in the nearest town anyway. I've taken them to Kansas City (95 miles), and St Joe (80 miles) to go shopping. Most of the lumber/building materials (except local Amish sawmill stuff) comes from a town 25 miles away (even though the closest town has TWO lumber yards). They are just like us - they shop around for better deals.
