Hi All,

Sorry for not coming back sooner. Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. Our basic itinerary is as follows

1) Arrive Chicago on Sun Aug 23rd

2) Visit Greenfield Village etc on the Monday (was there 7 years ago and didn't have half enough time)

3) Spend a while trying to find some of the history of my 1964 Case 1200 traction King that came from a sod farm in Howell, Michigan.

4) Visit Half Century of Progress

5) Visit Heartlands Museum, Clarion, IA., specially to see Big Bud 747 (as you can see I like my big American tractors)

6) Visit Farm Progress Show.

7) Visit Old Threshers, Mount Pleasant

8) Fly out of Chicago on Sun Sept 6th

As you can see it will be a packed 2 weeks but I hope to meet up with a few of you along the way. Looking forward to seeing that 4WD popper. What axle did you use? We might do some honey testing as well.

Its been 7 years since my last visit to the US and I'm really looking forward to visiting your country again. I'm sure my girlfriend will get sick of tractors but then again retail therapy of the clothing variety doesn't really excite me either.

Thanks,

Ken

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing. ... [Read Article]
