I didn't get a good raise until I was asked to take over a Vibration Facilty. Chrysler hired a retired Colonel to open doors. Hal PS: I made 5 trips to Elk Grove Village IL on this vehicle and it had a problem with differentials over heating during the acceptance tests. We were told to lower level in the differentials and it didn't help. One day I happened to walk along the tires and they were hot. They had installed Goodyear nylon bias ply tires. Our management had requested these even though we requested Michelin radials. I called a Goodyear dealer in Baltimore and he wanted to know how fast we were running the vehicle. I told him around 45 mph, he said they had a max speed of 25 mph. He came up after I asked him to talk to my supervisors and we ordered Michelin tires and no more overheating.
