Any military publication is going to be very careful in how they treat a story like this to neither make the command look bad or to make female service members look incompetent.
So now I'm wondering just how many times she was counseled about her behavior and so on. They generally don't relieve someone from a position like that for those reasons unless they had been formally counseled and then they failed to change they way they do things. One thing they do not tolerate any longer is what is now called trainee abuse. But the way they handle that is by relieving the person in question right away pending the outcome of an investigation. It's say that she was abusive to subordinates, not trainees.
