There used to be a company here in town that made the passenger load/unload platforms that extend out to the planes... Huge, mega buck contraptions that were loaded on to multi axle platforms and transported to DFW or Love Field airport, would be similar to moving a building, no small ordeal!
The road from the manufacturing plant was a narrow, almost dirt road that connected with a 4 lane state road. On each side was a deep drainage ditch, very obvious, go all the way across the 4 lane before beginning the turn or else!!! Well, guess where this is going...
How is it possible someone that careless could be behind the wheel of something that big and important? He never made any attempt to navigate the turn, just pulled up there like he was in his car and made the turn! The piece of equipment was destroyed, the trailer was destroyed, the truck was twisted...
