Not all of them have been taught that way. Maybe I should say that not all of them believe that. When they have parents that actually train them what the difference is between right and wrong, moral and immoral (or call it what you will) they tend to listen and learn at home.
Mine has already been taught that listening, and learning at school is a good thing, but if she is ever taught something that goes against what she has been taught at home she DOES NOT have to listen to it, nor abide by it. In other words, she doesn't have to worry about the school saying or doing anything to her because she doesn't believe in their rhetoric, instead the school has to worry about me when it comes to matters like this, or anything else where we have told her one thing, and they tell her something else in an effort to be PC.
As far as kids joining, that's all well and good. The problem comes when those ITS are male and want to be treated as female, and vise-a-versa. When I got out 20 plus years ago I knew plenty of guys that had problems with the integration of women into the Navy, and I'm talking actual problems, not just philosophical ones where they just didn't want the women there.
You can see what has happened with society in general with all of the namby pamby PC crap they are trying to force down everyone's throats in order to appease a very small minority of people. Think about what all of that, and more, is going to do to the moral of the military and the moral of the ones stuck serving with a freak. For the military to even think about something as asinine as this, is just plain STUPID, there's no better way to describe it.
