While this may be law, some companies can skirt this law if you've ever done business with them. I got an item in the mail a few years ago that I didn't order. Yet they charged my credit card because I had done business with them a few years earlier and they still had my credit card number on file. The card company took their side and I had to pay to return the item at my cost. If you get something in the mail from a company that you had done business with in the past and you really want to keep it, you better cancel your credit card and have your card reissued.
