Camaro and Mustang cars of that era were not well built cars. On a quiet night, you could hear them rust. Mustangs had about t6he worst front suspension of any car that I ever saw. They also mounted the alternator right in the path of all of the road dirt, snow, ice, and salt that you could find. That was the reason that they were cheap and plentiful in those days. I was there, working in a dealership.
Nostalgia: Getting all teary-eyed over something that sucked the first time around. IMHO, they still suck, but now they are paying more for the privilege.
