I've opened the gas tank door on both my F150, as well as my Camaro several times and found wasp nests. The other day I popped the rear one, reached in and removed the gas cap, and as I was coming out with the cap several flew past my hand. Where the next was hanging, I'm surprised I didn't get stung. It had been less than a week since I had put gas in the rear tank, so they do tend to work pretty fast.
