My brother in law, after the engine on his new 18hp Craftsman LT1000 tractor engine seized. He went and bought a new one and gave me the old one. Hard to say no to that. Full tank of gas and new battery too.
Just happened to have my fathers old 20hp LT1000 in the shed that he nuked 3 transmissions and a drive belt on that he gave up on and bought a new one, and gave me the old one.
Combined with my old White mower, and my old MTD, I was able to put together a nice mower with 3 bin bagger, 20hp mower, and cup holder. Nice for mowing around the house.
