Thanks for the replies! I will check out the Allis section. It looks like the truck was restored and re-wired with aftermarket knobs, gas primer, etc over the years. That brake fluid can is now serving as the gas tank apparently.
Again, I have not started it yet because it has no spark and the magneto is getting rebuilt.
Anyway, the generator definitely does not have a Field terminal so I can't adjust generator output using a lighting switch resistor, I guess. I took the generator apart and the adjustment of the third brush seems pretty simple.
