Outback S lite have worked well for me. They are on e bay new for around $700 new and once and a while come up used for sale. The last one I bought off of there for $450 in real good condition. They just use a small magnetic antenna instead of the the globes of the older ones. I set mine for low sensitivity, works great for spreading feritilizer, spraying and I even use it for mowing hay in bigger fields, so I can strike out fields that are straight. Have also used them for laying down a new fence. Was planning on using them in the winter time for driving to my dads farm when we have a blizzard, but the past few winters have been mild. They also work great for calculating field acreage by going around the perimeter of a field. They also have a speed readout. Lots of uses and a simple, well built unit.

If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
