One opened about 5 miles from me a year or so back. Like others have said, do they have everything, NO, but they do have a lot of stuff. I usually go there when I need a handful, or two, of the same sized bolts, nuts, etc instead of depleting the stock in my bins. The problem is that many of the items they "stock" aren't in stock. It seems like as often as not the bin is there, the tag for the item is there, but they either don't keep the bin stocked, or only have one of an item in the bin.
To me this seems like a huge waste of space, and huge loss of revenue when they have a dedicated space for something, but no product in the space to sell. I know some will say, 'Well it will come in on the next stock order' and that may be true, but when you go back the next week, and there's still an empty bin, it tells me they either aren't ordering enough of the item, or aren't ordering it at all.
Either way this is supposed to be what all of those fancy computer inventory control programs are for. Scan an item out, and it reorders the item for you. I know the stores have them as that's always the same, basic excuse used for not having the item in the first place, when they used to.....'Sorry, the computer quit ordering it because we don't sell enough of them.......', or something to that effect.
Again, they have a lot of things, but none of those things do anyone any good if they don't keep them in stock.....
