INTERESTING video, JD! Did you catch the fact it's NOT a (Henry) Ford Motor company unit at all, but was put out by the more or less SCAM "Ford Tractor Company of Minneapolis"?
"The Ford Tractor Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota was incorporated under South Dakota law on March 15, 1915. W. Baer Ewing was the moving force behind this company. Ewing located one Paul W. Ford of Minneapolis and induced him to join the organization. Ford agreed to allow his name to be used in connection with the company, and was to receive definite compensation therefore."
"Around 1915 some "entrepreneurs" with an idea for a tractor wanted to capitalize on Henry Ford's name to boost sales, since there were hundreds of thousands, possibly a million or two, of Model T's on American roads by then and people knew the Ford name. These businessmen hired an engineer with the last name of Ford (no relation to Henry), and used that to justify calling their scheme the "Ford Tractor Company." Because the "Ford Tractor Co." name had already been trademarked, Henry & Edsel Ford wound up calling their venture "Henry Ford & Son." That company name was later shortened to "Fordson."
If you read up on the history of the beginning of the "Nebraska Tests" you will find out that it was THIS very tractor not living up to it's claims that caused them to come to be!
