I read your post quite a few pages back about whether to move or not. Im suggesting this because it seems to work for me when big decisions come up. Its called a Pugh matrix. It helps remove "emotions" and lets "facts" help you make the right decision.
You can google "pugh matrix" for many examples. Across the top, two columns for each farm (location). Down the left would be all the critical factors that go into each place being more favorable.
They are simple to use, and effective. The key is making sure you have captured all the critical factors that are important. Give it a try. You may be surprised. Remember the decision you are making affects your life and family, don't be afraid to spend a lot of time mulling over it. Table it for a few days or a week. Revisit it with the wife. Table it again, then repeat.
