in my nearly 59yrs ,, durn little surprises me ,, and dang little impresses me , when it coms to the modern bul--cit that these yuppies waste come up with ,,. but maybe that's just me ,,. I am so impressed with the performance of my 40 yr old baler and 60 yr old tractor ,,. and I can fix them myself when sumthing needs attention ,, , in the last 20 yrs I have had no fewer than 10 computers and laptops ,, in the last 15 yrs I have had at least a dozen phones too ,,. none of that ,,junk holds up ,,. it simplyfails on its own ,,. the phone people call me by my 1st name when they see me , I am there that often ,. but I wont cut them any slack ,, told one one day ,, if I had a dollar for every dropt call , I would never have to pay a bill ...

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
