Trouble shooting 101 is needed here. #1 as soon as it starts doing that check you spark. It needs to be a good blue/white and jump a 1/4 inch gap or more at all 4 plug wires. If you have that #2 pull the carb drain plug and let the gas flow for a few minutes. Catch it to make sure it is not full of rust/dirt/water. The flow should fill a pint jar in 3 -5 minutes. If it does not work you way back to where the flow is slow. You should have 3 filters in the system. One is in the tank and is a screen which is part of the sediment bowl assembly. The 2nd one is a screen that should be in the sediment bowl it self and held up by the gasket and bowl and the 3rd one in the carb elbow. All of those need to clean for the flow to be good
