The log splitter is finished except putting in a new fuel line shutoff valve, we have one in,but it isn't the right one now. Ordered a brass one, don't want a plastic one, we did too nice a job on it so far. Most of the log splitters we looked at on craigslist, is just scrap thrown together from the scrap bin and still they want $900-1500 for junk, they lack pride in their work.I noticed most their tractor hookups ,mostly horizontal requires the person to handle the wood more than a person needs to.
Had I been younger I would have duplicated the $7000 to 9,000 one if money was more available, however the one we got now is still 40 to 50 ton. The hydraulic cyl came from Canada with the same warranty as the Prince one ob the other splitter. I wish I was younger,my son and I would build them for resale.Next time we get them together we'll photograph them both side by side. My daughter split the first piece of wood with the new one. She claims it by right of immanent domain, lol even though it's not on her property, lol. She will probably be using it this year for her wood, likes the electric start, and no, there will be no bracing from the axle to the tongue (just for gordo's information, lol). It wont be long before it's time to start wood, brrr. Regards, LOU

As long as a pool was at the end of our destination she was easy to please unlike the other two who have a multitude of requirements to travel with mom and dad. Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
