Norm, You can jam the flywheel, but I would recommend something soft to avoid chipping teeth off the flywheel. The best way is to use an impact wrench. I just did this about 2 weeks ago. When trying to tighten the bolt holding the pulley, engine would turn. I went an got out the impact wrench and "zip" it was installed. Besides, a guy needs a good impact wrench. Can you justify it with momma? Also, deep well sockets, anda torque wrench, anda torch, anda welder, anda jack, and jack stands, anda tool chest, anda compressor, anda .......... Ken McWilliams Dayton, Ohio : I found a crankshaft pully, now I need to know how to stop the motor from turning so I can tighten the crank nut tight enough. I have tried it in gear with the brakes on and it still turns. Any suggestion's, or idea's. Thank's Norm..
