Sounds like you have a poor battery cable connection since it is not spinning over. Maybe the solenoid but not likely or you do not have it out of gear or clutch held down depending on the safety switches it may have. By the way many wasps will not attack unless provoked like the Yellow jacket which is a small bee sized wasp and they are ground nesting wasps
