I just worked on fixing the chopper wagon today, and then sold a small truck load of hay. I had to make a small piece for the tensioner on the addition chain so I went in to work to make it up, lo and behold I had the exact size, both diameter and length I need, in my toolbox already. That was better than the shady I brought along that I would have had to turn smaller and cut off by a long shot.
Plus I wasn't working in the heat like the other poor guys who signed up to work the weekend in 12 hr. shifts. I did it last weekend when it was fairly decent out... the wagon still isn't fixed, but it's getting closer. The new steel should be at the farm tomorrow for the wagon, then we gotta get the chain back together so we can empty it then install the steel. Good thing it's only bedding in it, or it'd really be bad to have the wagon sitting with a load for the last 2 weeks.
