The active ingredient Bifinthrin is about the best material out there for general use insecticide. Many of the Ortho Home Defense products use this material. The issue with fleas (and many insect pests) is the egg and pupa stages are very hardy and even the strongest insecticides will not impact those life stages of the insects well. Getting ahead of the infestation requires repeat applications as the insects develop from the egg to larvae and the pupa to adult stages. Spray to kill the adults and larvae and spray again to kill adults and larvae that were eggs and pupa when you sprayed before, weekly applications until control is gained, might require 3-4 weeks.
Repeated lite sprays to carpets/rugs and furniture until control is gained. The bombs can create problems with furniture finishes and such as they get on everything exposed but not necessarily under furniture and such which is also where the fleas are. Move the furniture around and get all of the floor covering.
