Re: RR Lund's post about working on Sunday. I'm getting ready to go to Rantoul Thursday. Golf car is running good, worked on trailer to haul it. The trailer is my sister in laws, it came here from St. Louis after wife's brother died and his wife wanted us to have his lawn mower. I decided to repack the wheel bearings, one of the grease seals wasn't the greatest, so I went to Muscatine to get another. O'Rielly's didn't have one, Farm & fleet had them but you had to buy the bearings to get the seal, Auto Zone couldn't help without a part number, so I came home and used the old one instead. He had taken the tail lights off because his driveway was so steep, he tore the license plate off every time he used it. He had magnetic lights that didn't work the best. I bought a new set of tail lights and welded on a plate on each side to raise the lights for ground clearance. Got the lights mounted and new wire ran and hooked up. Backed the 97 Dodge Ram in and tried the lights, nothing. The drivers rear tail light hasn't worked since last winter, so I started trying to find out why. It has the add on plugs for trailer lights, and the one on the drivers side seemed suspect. Finally got it apart and wires were corroded and broke. OK, I'll pick up a new pigtail tomorrow after work. Thought I would load the golf cart just for the heck of it and fell thru the trailer floor. So I tore the floor out of the trailer and have to get 4 2x10x8' and 3 2x8x8' to replace the floor. It's a good thing I didn't have to move a tractor or I would have broken it also. Just another normal day here in NW Ill. Chris

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
