Same here, I moved to the current place from a large lot subdivision. Our next door neighbor was one of those always complaining about one thing or other in the neighborhood. They even got caught measuring one of the houses while under construction to see if it was of the minimum size required by the restrictive covenants. Needless to say those owners never warmed up to the complainers. They complained about our yard light, they complained about the security light on the barn, they complained about the fence I put up. I threatened to paint their side of the board fence in bright florescent colors if I got one more complaint about it or the llamas. They teamed up with some other people in the subdivision to change the covenants so that only horses and darn few at that could be housed in the subdivision (something like 1 per 3 acres). Never ask us to sign the document, we heard about it from other neighbors who wouldn't sign. I told the wife we are out of there, we needed a bigger place anyway.
Karma does get it's revenge... about a year after we left, the complainers house burned almost to the ground from a lightning strike.
